Facebook Ads: The Latest Working Strategies Revealed
Updated: Aug 6
In this article, we're going to reveal the latest Facebook Ads targeting strategies. [updated on June 2022]
Out of the hundreds of strategies we've tested each year, we want to list down a few strategies that are working for our Facebook Ads that might work for you too.
Here's the top 3 strategies that you can implementing into your Facebook Ads to skyrocket your sales and increase your ROAS.

Campaign Budget Optimization (CBO)
If you've joined my Facebook Ads Mastery Course, you would know that I usually would advise turning this option off. However, times has changed and Facebook's machine learning algorithm has gotten alot smarter since last time.
We noticed that by allowing CBO to handle our ads budget on the campaign level, our ads spend was distributed more accurately to ads sets that actually get results. Allowing us to test out different interest targeting audiences more profitably.
Our campaigns that applied CBO, resulted in atleast 2x more conversions across multiple ad sets. Even when running on a small budget.
Custom Audiences
Retargeting ads make up around 70% of all our sales.
So we're not too focused on your cold audience campaigns. Instead, we focus on testing out multiple custom audiences and eventually scaled our custom audiences to get better results.
We also offered an incentive for our retargeting audience to take action immediately by using discount codes or free shipping vouchers.
Optimising For Landing Page Views
If you are a small business that can't keep up with high CPMs and low conversion rates, we suggest optimising for Landing Page Views.
Aside from the Facebook Pixel tracking issues (due to the iOS15+ update), Facebook Ads is still the number 1 place for businesses to be advertising their products.
What we did for one of our Facebook Ads account that wasn't performing that well, was to switch the objective and optimize for lower funnel acquisitions. Such as 'Add To Carts' or even 'Landing Page Views'.
In one of our accounts, we were able to achieve an average of RM0.20 per landing page views with a blog post ad format.
This allowed us to quickly build custom audiences that are most likely interested with our business and retarget them with our offer.
